Veranda Group allocates 2% of its profits to the financing of social responsibility projects.
Consistent objectives
Priority objectives, which are both reasonable and consistent, have been defined and the group focuses on their implementation in line with the CSR policy of Rogers Group, of which Veranda is the Hotels division. The aim that all parts of the group have in common is to Educate with a commitment to sustainability.
In line with this aim, Veranda Group’s projects focus on three priorities:
• Prevention of HIV/AIDS among 15-24 year olds
• Community development (internally and externally)
• The environment and specifically the lagoons.
Philosophy
Veranda Group is convinced that actions must be coupled with awareness raising, training and participation. Its staff is its capital, so staff involvement, belief in and participation in the company's projects are inherent to their success.

Since 2008 Veranda has supported this NGO whose mission is the conservation and restoration of the marine environment of Mauritius. The NGO relies heavily on public awareness, a key driver of sustainable change in behaviour.

Educate the group's personnel
• Bel Ombre Foundation for Empowerment (BOFE)
An integrated development plan for the people of the South West region of Mauritius
• Support for village schools and community life
To promote social cohesion in, and create special relationships with the villages
Work on joint projects with the hotel industry
• Invest in the management of the business's resources
Two priorities areas have been defined: human resources welfare and development and management of the environment and its resources.
